our solution: the "core four" of estate planning

How to Avoid Probate

In order to save the time, money, and headache, we employ a strategy that uses a Revocable Trust and a Pour-Over Will. For additional peace of mind, we provide coverage throughout your life with a Financial Power of Attorney and Advance Directive for Health Care.

Revocable Trusts

Trusts are a vehicle to deliver your property privately and within a set of rules that you decide for yourself. Think of it as a business contract between yourself and your family. By using this strategy, you ensure that your home, your wealth, and more are transferred without a court stepping in and causing delays or public displays.

Pour-Over Will

"If my Trust is handling my estate privately, why do I need a will at all?"

Wills are still essential for those with minor children: Trusts cannot legally ensure guardianship.  It's essential to legally set clear guardianship in place. This to save children from the traumatic process of being in governmental care, however temporary that time may be.

What's more, the Will acts as a secondary safety net. It will essentially tell the courts that there is no need for them to take over the process of your estate because you have ensured all your property will pass through the Trust.

Power of Attorney

A financial Power of Attorney is an essential document in case of emergencies. If you're in a car accident and in a coma, you need someone to manage your accounts and make sure the mortgage is paid.

Your agent will be someone you trust that can go to the bank and make sure your finances don't slip, killing your credit and defaulting on loans.

Advance Directive for Health Care

Many people in medical emergencies don't have the luxury of being able to speak to the doctors for themselves. Through pain, physical trauma, or mental incapacity, they will need someone to speak to a doctor and tell that professional what they would have wanted in terms of medical decisions.

In order to ease the emotional burden of your loved ones, it's essential to declare a medical agent in case of severe emergency.
